Heat Resistant

Phenolic and hi-temp nylon wheels rated to 230°C and 320°C. For ovens, autoclaves, and hot-process environments.

Standard PU and nylon castors soften and deform above 80°C — a critical failure point for any equipment entering ovens, autoclaves, sterilisers, or high-temperature curing lines. CastorTrade's heat resistant range uses phenolic resin wheels (rated to 230°C) and hi-temp glass-filled nylon wheels (rated to 320°C) to keep carts rolling safely through thermal process cycles.

Phenolic wheels are the industry standard for bakery oven trolleys, powder-coating oven racks, and food processing equipment. Hi-temp nylon suits more demanding cycles found in aerospace composite curing, rubber vulcanisation, and industrial autoclave operations. Both materials maintain dimensional stability under sustained heat and resist the thermal shock of rapid oven entry and exit.

All heat resistant castors use high-temperature grease-packed precision bearings rated to match the wheel's thermal specification. Bracket materials are zinc-plated steel for phenolic-range units and stainless or black-oxide steel for hi-temp nylon variants. If your application involves steam, chemical exposure, or temperatures above 320°C, contact us for custom specification guidance.
